Welcome to our Making Money with Ebook Ecourse - Lesson 1 With the ecourse, we will be attempting to help you learn how to buy, write, sell ebooks and make additional income doing it. At anytime during this ecourse, please let us know if you have any questions. Lesson 1 will answer these questions, "What is an Ebook and Why Should I Sell Ebooks?" What is an E-Book? Ebook is short for electronic book. The book is typed out in a file and delivered electronically. There are all types of ebooks including classic novels like War and Peace, etc. They can be printed out if you prefer to read them elsewhere. One of the great things about ebooks is that you can sell the same one umpteen times without any additional costs as in print books. Each one must be printed out and bound which can be very expensive. With an ebook, you are basically selling the same computer file over and over. It is a great business and can help you increase your home business income. I know it has doubled our income! The easiest way to make an ebook is to type it out in Word or similar program and then simply convert it to pdf. You do not need expensive programs or software to make an ebook. I will cover this more in Lesson 4 - Writing and Selling Your Own Ebooks! Why Should I Sell Ebooks If you are looking for ways to make money online or to expand your existing home business, selling ebooks could be just what you need. Selling ebooks is easy, affordable and there are practically no expenses (other than purchasing the ebooks). You might want to write some of the ebooks yourself to save money and to help spread the word about you and your business! People love to buy ebooks, (if fairly priced) and as I mentioned before, there is not much cost involved in selling ebooks. The ebook itself, which can be sold over and over, the website for your ebooks (which you probably already have) and possibly a digital store script for automatic delivery of the ebooks. We will talk about this more in Lesson 3. There are ebooks on home decorating, pet care, making drinks, ecookbooks, sewing, painting, drawing, wood cradfts, golf, business, etc., the list goes on and on. One type of ebook you do not want is the sales page/giant ad type ebook which is basically the author trying to sell you their product in the form of an ebook. Choose ebooks that actually contain helpful and useful information and fit nicely with your site. There are people out there who charge $37, $49, even $97 for their ebook! In my opinion, this is absolutely ridiculous! There are ebooks on the net that are fairly priced and some that are great deals. So beware of the giant ad disguised as an ebook and the ridiculously overpriced ebooks! Ebooks can be a great addition to your site as you are sure to find some that compliment your site. if you have a cooking site, selling some of the recipe ecookbooks would add to your site's income. If you own a WAHM resource site, there are lots of ebooks and software you could add to your site for your visitors. Selling ebooks is easy, fun and can increase your income dramarically!
